Otto C. Scharmer emphasizes that the future of our society depends on whether we succeed in creating new forms of social learning infrastructures for change. The creation of such formats has been and continues to be my main concern in the development of projects.

In August 2024, occursus was commissioned by Lech Zürs Tourismus GmbH and the Municipality of Lech to support the development of a clearly structured and professionally managed business unit for the Lechwelten event centre, including both its operational and strategic orientation.
Within a complex and dynamic environment, occursus successfully laid the foundations for the sustainable development of Lechwelten. Throughout the process, the focus remained on solution-oriented work and close collaboration with all stakeholders involved.

When it comes to making better decisions, there is a place for it in the Lake Constance Four-Country Region: the data:room. Here, professionals from business, academia, politics, and society come together in an interdisciplinary setting to develop concrete solutions for the challenges of our time.

Together with Edgar Eller from Sentum, occursus has been commissioned by the owner of the Hof Reutenen estate to transform the lakeside property near Wasserburg on Lake Constance into a place for meaningful encounters in the Four-Country Region Bodensee and to promote genuine entrepreneurship. The vision is to create a venue for events and exchanges with a strong focus on the circular economy.

To provide decision-makers in Vorarlberg’s tourism industry with better, fact-based decision-making tools, occursus has been commissioned by Vorarlberg Tourismus to implement the ambitious and industry-unique Datahub Vorarlberg project.
As a first step, the Vorarlberg Tourism Navigator was developed in 2024. Moving forward, an incubator for practical solutions will be established with the support of various knowledge partners. This initiative aims to help tourism stakeholders in the region adapt their offerings to market demands while also providing a foundation for other industries to contribute to the region’s sustainable development.

On behalf of the Tourism and Leisure Industry Division of the Vorarlberg Chamber of Commerce, occursus was invited to contribute to the redesign of Tourism Week.
As part of this process, various stakeholders were invited to a workshop at the Festspielhaus Bregenz. The goal was to position Tourism Week as a platform that fosters a shared and engaging knowledge transfer, combining networking, professional development, and joyful celebrations. Through active participation, the diversity of tourism in Vorarlberg is to be made visible and directly linked to the Tourism Strategy 2030.
At the heart of the initiative was the creation of meaningful encounters within the industry and the strengthening of mutual appreciation.

occursus has been commissioned by the management of Insel Mainau GmbH to evaluate the island’s MICE business (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events). The objective is to develop strategic recommendations for the economic operation of this business sector, which is expected to play a key role in enhancing seasonal value creation in the future.

As one of the first regional brands in the Alpine area, Vorarlberg, under the leadership of WISTO Vorarlberg, has set itself the goal of creating the most opportunity-rich living environment for children by 2035. As part of this vision, the establishment of a brand experience space in Dornbirn is being considered. This space is intended to serve as a central hub and meeting point for the Vorarlberg brand.
WISTO has commissioned occursus to evaluate the potential benefits such a space could offer to key institutions and organisations in the region, as well as to develop concrete concepts for its utilisation.

The micelab:bodensee platform, launched by BodenseeMeeting in 2016, researches, teaches and conveys how meetings can generate an impact through the art of hosting.
