Bringing places with character back into use

Through the data:room’s use of Halle zwei at the Kammgarn factory in Hard, occursus demonstrates how existing spaces with a history can become places for dialogue and shaping the future. Rather than building anew, the approach focuses on the sustainable reuse of existing buildings, in keeping with circular economy principles. The project demonstrates occursus’s ability to put ideas into practice, from concept and development to independent commercial operation. It shows that impact comes from good hosting, a clear approach and purposeful use of space, rather than simply from new buildings.
